Shuken also reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time with or without notification. Once the modified Agreement changes, customers agree to become bound by the new Agreement.
We are a privacy first and no logs company. Therefore, only when necessary for some of the services contracted/requested (Enterprise, alerts, invoices, etc) our customers may be required to disclose some of their personal details. Otherwise the only thing required to operate is an email address as we do not have/manage passwords to access our services. Remember that we have a strict one account per user only, so please remember the email used when you first spin up one of our nodes/services.

We only accept Bitcoin (On-chain and Lightning) as a form of payment for our paid products/services. We may accept other payment methods in the future.
Please also note that our paid nodes/services will only be created once the payment made has been settled. For lightning payments should be instant, but for on-chain, we will need to receive at least 1 confirmation. Beware of mining fees/timings when you pay the invoice from the product requested, as “purging” can be quite high in periods of congest mempool.
Please make sure that you only pay a newly generated invoice, in the event that the previous payment has either expired and or not been processed but the miners during the 24 hours (1 confirmation period) we allow for it to happen before your node is fully created.
You can cancel our services at any time by simply not extending any of the node/subscriptions times you may have available. Remember that if you change your mind you can always spin up a new one (in case you have deleted the node in your console) and use it during the remaining time of your paid subscription.
We do not offer refunds for any of our monthly plans, unless of course we have not given you the 99.8% SLA we guarantee for our cloud pro solutions. In that case, we will resolve it by our support service.
Promotions & Referrals
Any promotional offer/code can only be redeemed once and any potential abuse of any promotions will carry the suspension of any account you may have tried to open.
For any potential referral partnership, please contact us as we have some agreed arrangements and or whitelabel opportunities.
Non-Custodial and No Logs
Shuken is a privacy first and no logs company, which of course is also a non-custodial service. That means that the site does not keep backups or copies of your data, seed phrases, or any other material that would allow access to our user’s funds. Because of this, in no way can we assist in the event of losing a seed phrase or losing access to a node/service. The only thing you can request is access to any of the services associated with the email you used when you first used our site and a magic link will be sent to your email with a new Auth token to access your Shuken Console, where you will see any nodes/services you may have available as well as any details related to its use. Remember that this Auth Token will remain valid until you request a new one and that every data is only saved in your browser’s local storage, so please note that in case you change browser and or device. Any other forms of authentication such as 2FA might be available for you to access some of your services, but again, we have no control over that, other than giving you the option to enable such access protection/methods.
By using the site, you agree to keep full copies of all sensitive material in case of any kind of failure, regardless of the type of failure. We take no responsibility for you losing any of these materials, and you hereby release and hold Shuken harmless from any liability resulting from loss.
We also want to make it clear that while we strive our best efforts in making sovereignty happen (privacy, tools, no logs, etc), we cannot be held liable and or responsible for the offering and or usage of any third-party solutions. The open source nature of most solutions, tools, etc. surely helps sovereign individuals verify them before usage, and surely everything we build ourselves will be done with our privacy by design framework. That being said, we will at all times do our best to remove any usage and or association with any service/tool that might become a concern/problem for our users. For example, we have seen how services like Thunderhub have raised big concerns in the community, so even though it is an opt-in solution built on top of one of our offerings, we reserve the right to remove it completely at any given time, surely after making sure all customers are informed and/or have any other alternative solution. In Shuken, we have a strong mission towards sovereignty, and that is why we will always do our best so users can choose the level of sovereignty they want. Sovereignty is a journey, and by definition, it is almost impossible to find a perfect solution, but we will be there to help provide the best possible solutions to our users.
We believe in the good faith of sovereign individuals and corporations, but at the same time you must agree to not to:
Terminations & Restrictions
If we terminate or suspend your account for any reason, you are prohibited from registering and creating any new account.
You can spin up as many paid nodes as you want within reason, but our free community ones can only be used one at a time. Any paid subscriptions are valid for 30 days but the Community (cloud) ones are only valid for 8 hours before they go offline automatically. Community (cloud) nodes timings might change in the future but should always be enough for you to use at any specific time you might need to do so with your sovereign matters. Reminders of subscriptions will be sent but can also be seen in the node details itself in your console. We may also also add limits to the number of free community users that can have a node at any given time, so we make sure we always give the best possible service to those who are already using it. If that happens, please try later, or simply use one of our paid nodes where there will not be limitations.
Modifications & Interruptions
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Site and or our services.
We cannot guarantee the services will be available at all times. Our Pro plans/bundles are fully decentralised and have no way to access your information to give you an “always running” service. We work with different providers and can guarantee 99.8% uptime for our Pro nodes and bundles. For Enterprise customers, given that it can be managed sovereignty we can deploy a solution where you don’t have to worry about backups or downtimes, as we will manage it on your behalf. Therefore, please note that in a decentralised solution you will be responsible for backups of your channels, stores, etc. In the event that any of our providers go down for maintenance and or any other reason, you will be given the option to spin up a new node and restore any service you were running, so your backups are important to be managed by yourself. You will be notified when possible of any scheduled downtimes/upgrades, etc.
In case of force majeure, we will notify when possible to all customers affected, informing them of the necessary steps to be deemed necessary.
We do not endorse, guarantee and assume any responsibility for any product or service advertised by a third-party we will not be responsible for monitoring any transaction between you and any third-party providers of products or services
Our Directors, employees or the company will not be liable for any direct or indirect damage, lost revenue, loss of data or any other damage arising from the use of our Site/services. We will only be liable to return you the money paid in the event that we cannot guarantee the 99.8% uptime for our decentralised pro nodes services. For enterprise, a separate agreement will be signed, based on the services contracted/deployed.
We will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, delay, or failure to act as a result of any act or event which occurs and is beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of God, war, unrest or riot, strikes, any action of a governmental entity, weather, quarantine, fire, flood, earthquake, explosion, utility or telecommunications outages, Internet disturbance, epidemic, pandemic or any unforeseen change in circumstances, or any other causes beyond our reasonable control.
These include, but are not limited to, loss of seed, loss of credentials, channels loss, etc. Furthermore, we are not responsible for loss of funds due to system outages. It is up to you to ensure proper backups and monitoring of your Lightning Node with us. We may offer you add-ons to have a more robust backup and alerts systems but remember that in a fully decentralised solution the responsibility for monitoring and backups will always be under your control. Enterprise solutions are a different product altogether and follow different rules, depending on what is contracted/deployed.

Email confirmations will be sent when nodes are created/paid, when they are about to have their subscription time ended, and or when they are expired. Some other notifications may be received for any other specific issues, such as new features, etc
Any involvement in, or statements suggesting future involvement in, legal action against Shuken may result in service termination, which may be without refund.
